The Suzie Q's, our local Susan G Komen Team that supports breast cancer, will host a used book sale, Books for Boobies, on Friday, August 6th from 11am until 3pm at the old Mills House, 500 West Oglethorpe Hwy. It is at the corner of the (newly named) Memorial Drive and Hwy. 84, a big white house with a white fence around it. Due to the wildly popular sale held this past Saturday we have decided to open the sale up again this week in the hopes on raising even more money and awareness for breast cancer. All donations will be used to support local women who have breat cancer with transportation costs to and from Savannah, as well as supporting the cost of digital mamography equipment that has been purchased by Liberty Regional so that ladies do not have to travel all the way to Savannah for mammograms, nor do they have to have the "old fashioned" type of mammograms anymore which are said to be painful.
